A dry dock examination conducted in compliance with 46 CFR 115.600 of this part must be conducted while the vessel is hauled out of the water or placed in a dry dock or slipway. During the examination all accessible parts of the vessel's underwater body and all through hull fittings, including the hull plating, appendages, propellers, shafts, bearings, rudders, sea chests, sea valves, and sea strainers shall be made available for examination.
MI's identified several areas along the port/stbd hull that requires to be sanded down, reinspected and new application of gel coat:
1. Three small areas on the forward, stbd hull.
2. One small area on aft corner of the starboard hull.
3. Two small areas inboard of port side, forward hull.
4. One small area on the port side, midship hull.
5. One small area on aft corner of the port side hull.

Resolution: All areas of concern were sanded down, reinspected and gel coat applied.
An internal structural examination conducted in compliance with § 115.600 of this part may be conducted while the vessel is afloat or out of the water and consists of a complete examination of the vessel's main strength members, including the major internal framing, the hull plating, voids, and ballast, cargo, and fuel oil tanks.
MIs observed the outside corner on the deck of the compartment containing the glass bottom has water damage and needs to be resealed to prevent further water intrusion and damage. MI's observed a 4-foot wooden board located inside, aft of the glass bottom compartment, is water damaged and deteriorating. The board must be replaced and secured beneath the deck.

Resolution: The trim glassbottom box was reattached with sealant applied to deck edges. Four foot wooden board was replaced and Coosa Board 36" X 6" and sistered to the deck to prevent further water damage.
