Inspections, by type

Years with a record 13 calendar years (1986–2016)
The 16 inspections in the strip above, split by the kind of activity the US Coast Guard recorded. Years with a record are calendar years in which a record exists, not years in service. What Maury does not do.

This record may be incomplete: the most recent inspection recorded for this vessel was 10 years ago. Maury shows what the Coast Guard recorded, not whether the vessel has been inspected since, is still in service, or what condition it is in. Coast Guard record current through 13 September 2026, retrieved 18 September 2026 from PSIX. Every field on this page was recorded by the Coast Guard. Records for the Refrigerated Cargo Ship class in Maury's sources begin in 1984.

Documentation record

Tonnage as PSIX records it4429 - Regulatory (Subpart C or D), Gross Ton
1908 - Regulatory (Subpart C or D), Net Ton
4942 - Dead Weight, Ton
This hull's Official Number is not in the NVDC file dated 10 September 2026 as served by NOAA Fisheries, so no documentation record is shown. Absence from that file is a fact about the file, not about the hull.

Radio station licence

No FCC ship-station licence is recorded against this Official Number in the file of 6 September 2026. That is a fact about the licence file, not about the radio.

The Coast Guard recorded this vessel and the following in the same inspection activity — normally a tug and the barges in its tow. A recreational or unclassed hull in the same activity is held and not published, so it does not appear here: these lists are a floor, not a complete manifest.

Resolved 6 December 2016
Resolution: Corrected on the spot.
Lifesaving › Lifeboat › Propulsion Transmission
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
The equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of a mast, with sails (colored orange). The port lifeboat sail was found in a torn and rotten condition. Several large holes, longer than 10 inches, were discovered throughout the sail. The crew is unable to repair the holes due to degraded and rotten sail material. The vessel does not carry a spare sail, 74 SOLAS (unconsolidated) III/11(a)(vi)
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 15 December 2015
Resolution: Port lifeboat sail was purchased new and delivered to the vessel.
Lifesaving › Lifeboat › Rigid Cover
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
The port and starboard lifeboat cover support brackets are rusted and in such a wasted condition that they will not fit in the designated holes outfitted on the lifeboat rails. The support brackets will not support either of the lifeboat covers and the crew does not have adequate protection from the elements in the event of an abandon ship. 74 SOLAS(Unconsolidated) III/11(a)(xxvi)
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 15 December 2015
Resolution: The support brackets for the port and starboard lifeboat cover were manufactured new and outfitted on the lifeboats.
Lifesaving › Lifeboat › Hull
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
All life-saving appliances shall be kept in working order and available for immediate use. USCG PSCO discovered an 11 and 1/2 inch fore to aft tear located on the starboard hull on the port lifeboat fiberglass reinforced plastic hull. The tear in the hull permits the entry of water along the starboard side hull of the port lifeboat. 74 SOLAS(unconsolidated) III / 4(c)
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 15 December 2015
Resolution: The port lifeboat was repaired by a craftsman approved by the vessel's flag state. USCG, KRS, and flag verified repairs.
Lifesaving › Lifeboat › Propulsion Transmission
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
The normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of a mast or masts together with sails. The port lifeboat seat that provides a mast step support for the lifeboat mast is rotten and does not provide adequate support for the mast under sail.
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 18 December 2015
Resolution: All seats in the port lifeboat were renewed to the satisfaction of KRS Class, Flag State, and USCG. The mast step was replaced. All sat.
Lifesaving › Lifeboat › Propulsion Engine
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
A motor lifeboat engine shall have sufficient fuel for 24 hours of continuous operation. The starboard lifeboat fuel tank support brackets are wasted and no longer hold the fuel tank in position. The free movement of the fuel tank within the lifeboat caused the fuel delivery line to fold over and crimp, restricting the fuel delivery to the engine. 74 SOLAS (unconsolidated) III / 9(a)(i)
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 15 December 2015
Resolution: The stbd lifeboat engine fuel tank support brackets were renewed and the fuel delivery line was replaced in kind.
Fire Fighting › Structural - A Class Divisions › Control Stations
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
Fire integrity of all bulkheads and decks shall comply with Table 1 to 4 in SOLAS 74 Ch. II-2 Regulation 20. PSCO discovered a 1 inch hole in the aft bulkhead of the wheelhouse (control station). The hole penetrates the bulkhead and compromises the A-60 boundary. 74 SOLAS (Unconsolidated) II-2 / 23(a)
Condition: Improper Installation
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 15 December 2015
Resolution: The one inch hole in the wheelhouse aft A-60 bulkhead was repaired to the sat of KRS and Flag State.
Fire Fighting › Structural - A Class Divisions › Sidescuttles
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
All openings in "A" class divisions shall be provided with permanently attached means of closing which shall be at least as effective for resisting fires as the division which they are fitted. Fire dampers on the port and starboard side of the refrigeration machinery room located on the boat deck are wasted and no longer provide adequate protection. 74 SOLAS (Unconsolidated) II-2 / 23(c)
Condition: Improper/Lack of Maintenance
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 18 December 2015
Resolution: Fire dampers on port and stbd side of refer machinery room were replaced in kind.
Documentation › Certificates/Documents › IOPP Certificate
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
After any survey of the ship has been completed, no changes shall be made. The main engine lube oil settling tank is being used to hold oil residue (sludge) that is transferred from the fuel and lube oil sludge tanks. The main engine lube oil settling tank is not identified as an oil residue (sludge) retention tank on the supplement to the IOPP certificate. MARPOL Annex 1 Reg. 6.4.2
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 15 December 2015
Resolution: Flag State rep reached out to owner and the owner decided to not store sludge in the main engine lube oil settling tank, therefore, it was not added as a sludge residue tank on the IOPP and may not be used to store such material in the future.
Deck/Cargo › Holds/Tanks › Hatch Cover
Issued 30 November 2015 Resolved
All hatchways shall be fitted with hatch covers of steel and covers shall be weathertight and fitted with gaskets. PSCO discovered two 4' by 4' hatch covers missing 100% of their gaskets. One hatch cover is located on the stern, over the steering gear room and one hatch cover is the entry hatch for the #3 cargo hold. ICLL Ch. II Reg. 16(1)

Ownership record

The Coast Guard's documentation record for this hull -- the Abstract of Title, with its owners and liens as filed -- is not in PSIX. Ask, and Maury buys it from the National Vessel Documentation Center, files it here with its date, and every reader of this page gets it.
