Resolution: Received Class report stating that C/E stated the control valve for the servo valve unit #1 was not properly adjusted. It is adjusted now. Steering systems in now generally examined and tested by class. Found satisfactory by class.

The purifier room has several fire hazards. HFO purifier #3 has 3 gallons of fuel oil in the containment area underneath. The diesel oil purifier has a continuous leak that is dripping into the containment area and overflowing onto the deck. the area around the purifiers including the assoc. piping and equipment is covered in oil. Rectify to the satisfaction of class. SOLAS 74 II-2/33(a)
