Fuel line on the main engine was wasted, unserviceable, melted to the turbo casing and constituted a fire hazard.

Life Floats were cracked and brittle, and the lines and netting were dry-rotted and sun-worn, rendering the life floats unserviceable. Furthermore, life floats secured directly to the vessel, rendering the weak link useless.
