During the course of the port side lifeboat inspection, it was noted that the mast stay had been incorrectly installed and prevented the life boat mast from being correctly mounted. The vessel was issued a requirement to have the mast stay correctly reinstalled to the manufacturer’s specification to the satisfaction of Coast Guard.
