Machinery and electrical systems must be maintained to provide safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of persons on board under normal and emergency conditions. Fuel piping for Aux generators from main fuel tank to fuel filter is nonmetallic rubber hose. This creates an unsafe condition in the event of a fire in the ER. Vessel is to replace the hose with metallic piping or a nonmetallic hose meeting SAE J1942, ABYC H-33 or NFPA 302 within 14 days.
