Vessel sustained damage to its port stern corner just below the deck. Damage consists of a 1/2" hole and 6-8" vertical fracture extending from the hole. Barge is permitted to proceed to IMTT Saint Rose, LA (LMR 118) to offload cargo and then proceed to FMT Shipyard in [name withheld] in Harvey, LA. If conditions or plans change, company shall notify nearest Coast Guard unit in area barge is located at the time. Company shall contact Sector New Orleans vessel inspections once the barge is offloaded to discuss repair plans. Repairs shall be completed after offloading current cargo and prior to loading next cargo, and to the satisfaction of attending Coast Guard marine inspector.

Armored cable supplying #1 P/S and #2 P/S overfill alarms have excessive wear and do not meet regulation. Explosion proof box does not house cable in a secure way to eliminate vapor migration into the explosion proof box. Cargo vapor is escaping through fittings on the high-level alarm.
Ensure cable and explosion proof box both comply with standards outlined in 46 CFR 39.2009. Prior to loading cargo, prove compliance and proper operation of each high level alarm to attending USCG Marine Inspector.
