SEA STALLION

Vessel issued CG 835 on 31MAR2026 for the following: -submit repair proposal to address all wastage in transverse frame spaces #04. -conduct necessary repairs in accordance with approved repair proposal. To this date, none of the CG835 requirements have been met to the satisfaction of USCG. Vessel is restricted from carrying passengers until above listed requirements have been completed and met to satisfaction of USCG.

Portable extinguishers must be inspected and maintained in accordance with NFPA 10. Vessel operators must provide proof of annual maintenance for portable fire extinguishers. Corrected on the spot

Vessels on limited coastwise routes are required to carry six (06) red and six (06) orange flares or twelve (12) red flares. Vessel had nine (09) red flares at the time of the inspection. Must add three (03) more flares for vessel's route. Corrected on the spot

Approved water light for required ring buoy not operational at time of inspection. Vessel is restricted to daylight operations until deficiency is rectified to satisfaction of USCG.

Hydrostatic release for EPIRB not properly connected at time of inspection. Must reinstall or replace to allow EPIRB to automatically float free to satisfaction of USCG.

Must install proper label, block letters at least 2" on contrasting colors, on stowage bin with lifejackets.

Remote fuel shut-off stations must be marked in clearly legible letters at least 1" high indicating purpose of valve and direction of operation.

USCG received notification from state agency concerning possible damage on the vessel collar creating a hazardous condition for vessel crew and passengers. Vessel is not permitted to get underway with passengers until USCG Marine Inspectors can verify/conduct damage assessment, determine repair proposal and repairs are made to satisfaction of USCG.

Conducted internal hull assessment at operator's request. Spot gauged six (06) isolated pits in the hull at the waterline located in the starboard quarter section of the vessel. Vessel is required to haul out in thirty (30) days for full assessment and formulate repair plan/time frame.

A vessel not required to have a power-driven fire pump by § 181.300 must have at least three (03) 9.5 liter (2 1/2 gallon) buckets, with an attached lanyard satisfactory to the cognizant OCMI. Vessel only had 00 fire buckets at time of inspection. Corrected

It was determined that vessel is required to have the following portable extinguishers IAW their COI: -One (01) 10 B:C extinguisher at operating station -One (01) 40 B:C extinguisher for outboard engines Vessel had two (02) 10 B:C extinguisher at time of inspection and must replace/add one (01) 40 B:C extinguisher. Portable extinguishers must be inspected and maintained in accordance with NFPA 10. Vessel operators must provide proof of annual maintenance for portable fire extinguishers to USCG. Corrected; operator purchased new extinguishers and provided receipts.

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to: provide services necessary for safety, protect passengers, crew and other persons from electrical hazards and prevent electrical ignition of flammable vapors. Observed the following during inspection: -improper wiring for navigation lights and electric bilge pump. Conduits were wired from negative terminals on 12V battery directly to load sources. No over current protection and central electrical distribution. -Wiring for navigational lights improperly spliced before connection to load sources. Must install all electrical equipment onboard in accordance with approved vessel electrical plan.

All flexible nonmetallic hose for use in vital systems must meet specifications in SAE J1942 or SAE J1527 (no more than 30 inches in section length). There is no evidence that the current, flexible fuel lines meet these specifications. Must replace to satisfaction of USCG Marine Inspector.

All electrical bilge pumps must meet the requirements of UL 1113. No evidence that current electric bilge pump meets these requirements. Must remove electric bilge pump and all associated wiring.

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to: protect crew, other persons and the vessel from electrical hazards. Need to remove or cap dead end wire underneath operator's station.

A vessel must comply with the applicable requirements for any radio installations as set forth in 47 CFR part 80. Vessel has expired Radio Safety Certificate. Must correct to the satisfaction of the USCG Marine Inspector.

Must change vessel name on the following lifesaving equipment: -All lifejackets -Life buoy

Remote fuel shut-off stations must be marked in clearly legible letters at 1 inch high. Shut-off station in forward stowage bin must be marked.

At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification of a vessel, the owner or managing operator shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspections of machinery, fuel, and piping systems, including the Operation of the main propulsion machinery both ahead and astern. Port engine had Hi-Temp alarm and STBD engine has excess vibration.

Shutoff valves, installed so as to close against the fuel flow, must be fitted in the fuel supply lines, one at the tank connection and one at the engine end of the fuel line to stop fuel flow when servicing accessories. Both port and STBD shutoff valves were not operable.

Ring life buoy must be marked with Type II retroreflective material. Missing retroreflective tape.

Portable fire extinguishers must be located so that they are clearly visible and readily accessible from the space being protected. No installation bracket and no labeling.

Name of the vessel must be marked or painted in clearly legible letters on each Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB). No name on the EPIRB.

Every vessel must be fitted with a suitable magnetic compass designed for marine use, to be mounted at the primary operating station. Steering compass is not readable.

Every vessel subject to Part III of Title III of the Communications Act must have a FCC Safety Radiotelephony Certificate. The vessels Safety Radio certificate is expired. Complete an inspection of the radio installation by a FCC-licensed technician. 47CFR80.903
