While unloading cargo in Dutch harbor, a long shoreman noticed oil leaking out of the vessel, midships about 6 " above the loadline. Upon investigation the hull was found to be fractured horizontally 2 inches. The facture did not look related to stress, but some sort of previous damage. The rest of the hull was surveyed, and no further damage was noted.
