Pre-engineered fixed gas fire extinguishing system must automatically shut down all power ventilation systems and all engines that draw intake air from within the protected space. Pre-engineered system is not arranged to secure MDE's as both MDE are arranged so that intake air is drawn from outside the space. Port MDE intake piping is wasted allowing intake air to be withdrawn from within the protected space. Vsl must provide an air tight means to withdraw intake air for the port MDE from outside the space or arrange the pre-engineered system to secure the port MDE upon activation.

There is no valve installed in the fuel supply line on either the port or stbd MDE. Vsl must provide shut off valve in the fuel supply line as close the engine as possible.
