The fire resistance of doors shall, as far as practicable, be equivalent to that of the division in which they are fitted. PSCOS observed the paint locker door and chemical store door to be B class doors, without self-closing mechanisms. According to the ship Fire Control Plan both doors are required to be A class self-closing doors.

Resolution: Vessel installed Class A-60 self closing fire doors in paint storage room and chemical storage room in accordance with approved fire control plan.
