The vessel allided with BNSF Taconite facility shuttles due to an inoperable number two ship service generator, which resulted in an overload and trip of the #1 and #3 ship service generators. The vessel shall complete repairs to satisfaction of class society and Coast Guard prior to departure from the port. Until deficiency is rectified, vessel's movement is restricted by conditions in COTP Order 03-2024.

Vessel allided with BNSF Taconite facility shuttles. U.S Coast Guard inspectors attended the vessel and identified related damage onboard as follows: a 13 foot long pierced gouge inset approximately 30 feet above the waterline in way of the port windlass space. The damage extends across 7 frame bays. There are 2 distinct gouges, 1-2 inches wide, approximately 5 inches apart. The gouges penetrate through the hull within the first 4 frame bays and 2 frames are tripped.
