A Certificate of Inspection (COI) is valid for 5 years. Your vessel's COI expired on 10/18/2023 and must undergo a renewal inspection prior to operating commercially. Vessel shall not operate until COI inspection is completed.

Propulsion machinery must be suitable in type and design for propulsion requirements of the hull in which it is installed and capable of operating at constant marine load under such requirements without exceeding its designed limitations. Vessel suffered a reduction gear casualty while conducting full power trials.

When the cognizant OCMI or the Commanding Officer, Marine Safety Center determines, in accordance with §178.210, that a vessel must have stability details indicated on its Certificate of Inspection or a stability letter, the owner or operator must submit the information listed in paragraph (b) of this section. No documentation certifying compliance with regulatory changes in Assumed Average Weight Per Person (AAWPP) per 46 CFR Sub chapter S, Stability calculations has been submitted to the MSC. The Owner/operator must submit a certification of Stability compliance statement in accordance with CG-543 Policy Letter 11-03, Enclosure (1). The Certification of Compliance must clearly document the total weight and number of passengers and crew permitted to be carried at the new AAWPP. The statement shall be sent to United States Coast Guard Marine Safety Center (MSC) and Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection (OCMI), Sector San Juan with a copy of the current Stability Letter enclosed. During the process of revising vessel's stability letter the OCMI will reduce GUACAMAIA passenger carriage capacity to that of the sister vessel HANNAH listed in the 2001 Stability Letter. Carriage capacity shall allow for the following: EXPOSED WATERS: A maximum of 12 persons may be carried on this vessel, of which 10 may be passengers. No passengers are permitted on the flybridge. Each passenger may carry a maximum of 120 pounds of diving equipment. PARTIALLY PROTECTED WATERS: A maximum of 14 persons may be carried on this vessel, of which 12 may be passengers. No passengers are permitted on the flybridge. Each passenger may carry a maximum of 80 pounds of diving equipment. PROTECTED WATERS: A maximum of 17 persons may be carried on this vessel, of which 15 may be passengers. No passengers are permitted on the flybridge. Each passenger may carry a maximum of 80 pounds of diving equipment

Provide a company Drug and Alcohol Policy that meets all applicable requirements of 46 CFR 16.

Replace non CG Approved flexible fuel supply hose leading from Port fuel tank

Install flame bowl beneath glass bottom Racor Fuel Filter

Replace pedro hose between thru hull valve and sea strainer

Obtain and install valid EPIRB Hydrostatic Release

Conduct required 3rd party annual servicing of portable and pre-engineered fire fighting system

Attach necessary tools to tiller arm that are needed to install and disconnect hydraulic ram

Obtain Valid Certificate Of Documentation

Obtain up to date nautical charts of the local area

Replace expired items in first aid kit

Replace STBD running light. Vessel may only operate in daylight conditions until this item is corrected.

Provide current and updated EPIRB registration for new owner info.

Provide updated and current FCC station license for new vsl owner info.

Provide current FCC Safety Radio Certificate.

Ensure that monthy test/inspections of EPIRB and other lifesaving equipment are logged in either training log or equipment maintenance log.

Provide vessel specific emergency instructions mounted at or near the operating station.

Provide onboard the following publications or relevant/current extracts thereof: NOAA Tide Tables, NOAA Current Tables, USCG Light list.

Provide properly mounted float waterlite with cabin-top mounted lifef float.

Provide properly operating discharge alarm (audible and light signal) to indicate when the pre-engineered fixed firefigting system has discharged.
