The OCMI may require an inspection and testing whenever a repair or alteration is undertaken. Major damage was sustained to RIVER LOOP's starboard outboard engine, necessitating replacement of the lower unit. The vessel is therefore subject to inspection and testing by the Coast Guard to ensure adequacy of repairs and vessel safety.
