As appropriate for the intended voyage, a vessel must carry adequate and up-to-date:(1) Charts of large enough scale to make safe navigation possible;(2) U.S. Coast Pilot or similar publication;(3) Coast Guard Light List;(4) Tide tables; and(5) Current tables, or a river current publication issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or a river authority.(b) Extracts from the publications listed above for the areas to be transited may be provided instead of the complete publication. Vessel is missing an up to date: navigation chart, light list and coast pilot. Provide evidence of updated documents to the USCG Marine Inspector. 46CFR184.420

Portable fire extinguishers must be located so that they are clearly visible and readily accessible from the space being protected. The installation and location must be to the satisfaction of the Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection. Portable fire extinguishers are missing safety pins and tamper seals. Install safety pins and tamper seals on all portable fire extinguishers onboard the vessel. 46CFR181.520

A vessel must be provided with bilge pumps in accordance with Table 182.520(a). A second power pump is an acceptable alternative to a hand pump if it is supplied by a source of power independent of the first power bilge pump. Vessel is missing (1) portable hand bilge pump. Install a portable hand bilge pump on board the vessel. 46CFR182.520

The discharge ends of fuel tank vent pipes must be fitted with removable flame screens or flame arresters. The flame screens must consist of a single screen of corrosion resistant wire of at least 30 × 30 mesh. The flame screens or flame arresters must be of such size and design as to prevent reduction in the net cross sectional area of the vent pipe and permit cleaning or renewal of the flame screens or arrester elements. The starboard fuel tank vent flame screen is non-satisfactory. Clean, repair, or replace the starboard fuel tank vent flame screen with corrosion resistant wire of at least 30 × 30 mesh. 46CFR182.450

Vessel is overdue for annual inspection. Vessel must undergo satisfactory inspection by a USCG marine inspector prior to returning to service.

Vessel was identified as having potential damage from Hurricane IAN. Prior to conducting repairs, contact the local USCG Marine Inspections office and submit a repair proposal for approval. Vessel is not permitted to return to commercial service until cleared by a USCG Marine Inspector.

COI expires 02NOV2021. Do not carry passengers until a satisfactory COI inspection is completed.

Starboard bilge alarm is inoperable.

Light for ring life buoy is inoperable.

Replace expired aspirin in first aid kit.

HIDEAWAY ONE is overdue for the annual inspection, invalidating the COI per 46CFR176.502. Issued CG835, carriage of passengers not authorized.

Vessel is required to have up-to-date publications, vessel has publications over 3 years old, must provide proof of obtaining up-to-date publications onboard vessel.

Vessel is required to provide two portable battery lights one at op station and one near machinery station. Vessel does have any portable lighting (flashlights). Must provide proof obtaining and outfitting of two flashlights.

Vessel does not have required MARPOL V (Garbage) Placard posted. Vessel must provide proof of obtaining and posting MARPOL V Placard.

COD is expired.

B-II fire extinguisher cylinder is wasted at neck and bottom.

2017 emergency drills not logged.

Ring buoy grab line and life line are frayed/breaking.
