PSCO observed thumb latches located on doors for the motion flow room as well as the gym. Doors used for means of escape did not have a door-latching mechanism that releases the latch upon application of force in the direction of escape flow. Vessel underwent a major extension project in 2021, therefore, areas located in MVZ 5 must adhere to most recent SOLAS requirements.
