PSCO observed an excessive amount of oil in and around ships (MDE) Main Diesel Engine and bilge.

Resolution: Vessel's main propulsion engine was ran for 30 min and attending surveyor observed leaks in way of the main engine fly wheel and cylinder cover seals. Class issued recommendation to have seals replaced at time of dry in May of 2016.

Resolution: Surveyor found the vessel's steering gear rudder top seal worn and will have to be replaced at the vessels next dry dock which is tentatively May 2016.
