A vessel not required to have a power driven fire pump by 181.300 must have at least three 2.5 gallon fire buckets, with an attached lanyard satisfactory to the OCMI, placed so as to be easily available during an emergency. The words "FIRE BUCKET" must be stenciled in a contrasting color on each bucket. Vessel was outfitted with three fire bucket, but no lanyards were attached, nor were the words "FIRE BUCKET" stenciled on the items. Attach lanyard of sufficient length to collect water with regard to the vessel's freeboard, and stencil the words "FIRE BUCKET" on each of the items.
