A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than three months in any 12 month period since the last examination must undergo a dry dock exam and an internal structural exam at least once every two years. Vessel has outstanding work list items that must be cleared prior to receiving credit DDX and prior to carrying passengers. In addition, vessel has replaced Port and STBD generator ends. Both generators must be tested under load in the presence of CG MI and a technician prior to carrying passengers.

During in-service inspection, there was nuisance water and oil in the shaft alley bilge. This space is equipped with two high water level bilge alarms, during testing of the high water level bilge alarms only one of the bilge alarms provided an audible and a visual alarm on the navigation bridge. Considering the redundancy of the alarms, deficiency was cleared on the spot.

Duty Marine Inspector received from the CG Command Center notification that the vessel's bow thruster stopped working during docking maneuvers with passengers on board. The OCMI and Coast Guard Marine Inspector (CGMI)have determined that the bow thruster is essential to the routine operation of the vessel and require it to be fixed and prove proper operation to a CGMI prior to carrying passengers.
