Flexible nonmetallic hose may be used in lube oil, fuel oil and fluid power systems, subject to the following requirements: Flexible hose must be fabricated with an inner tube and a cover of synthetic rubber or other suitable material reinforced with wire braid; Flexible hose runs must be visible, easily accessible, protected from mechanical damage. Vessel has 02 hoses that are damaged, one needs to be replaced and one needs protective material to keep from rubbing against machinery. 46 CFR 182.720 (e)(3) (ii)&(iii)
