Vessel is alleged to have made contact with channel side when departing dock. Disruption of the mountings for the steering cylinders was noted along with pintle bearing rings were found deformed. Setting rudder amidships placed the rudder angle indicator at 28 degrees to port. The steering system is to be completely overhauled according to guidance given by class (ABS).

Resolution: Received Class Survey Report stating vessel was drydocked, and all aspects for repairs of damages were completed. For details of repairs see item 274 through 276 of the class report.
