A vessel must comply with the structural design requirements of one of the standards listed in 46 CFR 177.300. In the forepeak, the following welds were found fractured: on the port side, weld between 2nd transverse frame from the bow and the 7th longitudinal frame from the keel, and on the stbd side, the weld between the aft bulkhead and the 1st transverse frame. In the 2nd space from the bow, the following welds were found fractured: weld between the forward bulkhead and the 8th longitudinal frame from the keel on the stbd side, and the weld between the forward bulkhead and first transverse frame, where the deck meets the hull. In the fuel tank compartment, the following weld was found fractured: the weld between the 2nd longitudinal frame from the forward bulkhead and the 10th transverse frame from the keel on the starboard side. In the engine room, the welds between both the port and stbd engine exhausts and the stiffener on the aft bulkhead are fractured. In the lazarrete, the welds between the hull and the deck are fractured in the stbd quarter portion of the space. Repair these fractured welds to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector, prior to operating next season.

There is a quarter sized hole in the hull on the stbd quarter, where the deck meets the side shell plating. Conduct temporary repairs to ensure the space is watertight w/in 2 weeks and conduct permanent repair prior to next operating season to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.
