A vessel that has a power driven fire pump must have Piping, valves, and fittings in a fire main system must comply with subpart G, part 182, (46 CFR 182.710) of this chapter. A hole was found in the fire main in the lazarette serving the aft hydrants. Repair/replace and test to proper pressure the damaged section of fire main. 46 CFR 181.310(b)

On a vessel of more than 19.8 meters (65 feet) in length, each hose must (1) be lined commercial fire hose that conforms to UL 19;(2) be 150 feet in length & 1.5 inches in diameter; and(3) have fittings that comply with NFPA 1963 (e.g., brass). One length of hose at the aft station was holed. Remove damaged hose & replace w/ new hose. (Vsl has sufficient add'l length of hose from 3rd fire station to meet minimal requirements in interim).

A vessel of more than 65 feet in length, the minimum capacity of the fire pump must be 50 gal per minute at a pressure of not less than 60 psi at the pump outlet. The outlet must be fitted with a pressure gauge. The gauge was broken. Repair/replace outlet gauge.

Each vessel inspected and certificated under the provisions of this subchapter must, when any passengers are aboard during the tenure of the certificate, be in full compliance with the terms of the certificate. Vessel has missed their drydock deadline of 28FEB2026. Vessel is restricted from carrying passengers until drydock credit is given. 46 CFR 176.100(b)

All vessels except non-self-propelled vessels shall be provided with suitable steering apparatus. Steering gear ram in lazarette was missing a nut and unsecured on the starboard side. 46 CFR 182.30 Old T

The intent of this part is to ensure that each vessel is provided with safe readily available and sufficient firefighting equipment. The start button on the fire pump remote start stop switch at the aft and port side fire stations must be continuously held for the fire pump to run. 46 CFR 181.01-05 Old T

Auxiliary machinery shall be suitable in type and design for the purpose intended. The coolant hose on the port side generator was chaffed and severely deteriorated. 46 CFR 182.10 Old T

At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification, the marine inspector may require that an abandon ship or man overboard drill be held under simulated emergency conditions specified by the inspector. The rescue platform has too much play when deployed for rescue operations and recovery of man overboard. 46 CFR 176.808(g)

A vessel must comply with the applicable requirements for any radio and EPIRB installation. The MMSI number on the VHF DSC did not match the EPRIP or FCC station license MMSI. 46 CFR 184.502

As appropriate for the intended voyage, a vessel must carry adequate and up-to-date charts of large enough scale to make safe navigation possible. Vessels charts were outdated and did not have chart for all intended routes. 46 CFR 184.420(a)(1)

All electrical installations shall be to the satisfaction of the Officer in Charge of Marine Inspections. Vessel had two outlet boxes beneath the operating station that were not mounted or secure. 46 CFR 183.01-15 Old T

Placards containing instructions for the donning and use of the life jackets aboard the vessel must be posted in conspicuous places. Vessel had new life jackets different from the donning instructions already posted. Post life jacket placard for new life jackets. 46 CFR 185.516

Each vessel must be equipped with at least two operable portable battery lights. One of these lights mus be located at the operating station. The vessel did not have a portable light at the operating station. 46 CFR 183.430

Vessel has lockable spaces but has no master key control system. 46 USC 3106

The minimum capacity of a fire pump must be 50 gallons per minute at a pressure not less than 60 PSI. The pump shall be outfitted with a pressure gauge. Pressure gauge was only reading 20PSI. Adjust or replace gauge. 46CFR 181.10 (Old T)

Each buoyant apparatus must be fitted with a lifeline, pendants, a painter, and a light. Vessel was unable to determine expiration dates of batteries for 6 buoyant apparatus's. Replace batteries or provide expiration dates from manufacturer to the satisfaction of a CG marine inspector. 46 CFR 180.175(e)

REMOVE THE (2) TWO POWER STRIPS CHAINED TOGETHER UNDER THE HELM, RELOCATING THE PLUGGED IN ITEMS TO A DEDICATED OUTLET AND DIRECTLY HARD-WIRE THE BOAT CABLE POWERING THE CHILLER UNIT IN THE MAIN SALON INTO A DEDICATED CIRCUIT.

REPLACE THE LIGHT, GLOBE, AND CAGE FOR THE STARBOARD SIDE OVERHEAD LIGHT IN THE LAZARETTE.

THE NUT SECURING THE STARBOARD STEERING QUADRANT WAS MISSING. REPLACE THE NUT TO ENSURE THE RAM IS SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE STEERING.

THE PORT SIDE REMOTE PULL FOR FUEL SHUT OFF DOES NOT OPERATE SMOOTHLY, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO FULLY SHUT OFF FUEL SUPPLY. REPAIR REMOTE PULL SO THAT IT OPERATES SMOOTHLY AND THE OPERATOR CAN POSITIVELY CONFIRM FULL CLOSURE OF THE FUEL VALVE.

Liferafts are arranged so that when they float free, they will get caught in mast. Reroute life float painters to avoid being snagged through the mast support as currently arranged.46 CFR 180.130(a)(2)

Outlet, next to water tank between fuel tanks, hot and neutral are reversed. Reverse wires to rectify. (OLD "T") 46 CFR 183.01-15

Engine room, forward bulkhead, port side, next to battery charger is a temporary splice of two conductors Make connection in a permanent enclosure. (OLD "T") 46 CFR 183.01-15

Black "primary" VHF with DSC capability needs to be on it's own dedicated electrical circuit in addition to being connected with a 3 hour battery back up. Currently the white "back up" VHF (without DSC capability) is connected to the same electrical circuit but the VHF without DSC capability is currently wired to the battery backup. Re-arrange so that VHF with DSC capability (black "primary" one) has it's own dedicated circuit that connects to the 3 hour battery back up. VHF that does not have DSC capability should have it's own dedicated circuit as well. (OLD "T")46 CFR 183.05-25(a)

Replace PVC plug cap on fire main piping in collision bulkhead space with metallic threaded plug. (OLD "T")46 CFR 181.15-5 (c)

Port M/E 120 volt oil heater plug is leaking oil. Remove and reseal heater plug. (OLD "T")46 CFR 176.25-10(b)

Submit electrical plan for microwave (900 W)/ hotdog roller (900W)/ dual toaster oven (1800 W) power arrangement by upcoming drydock in March 2022. Current arrangement using outlet multiplier on starboard side outlet has caused melting and light damage to begin at the outlet and prongs. Either reduce the potential electrical loads at damaged outlet with new, remove outlet multiplier and directly plug in microwave/ hot dog roller into the new outlet and relocate hand held radio chargers to separate circuit. Do not plug both toaster ovens into the same circuit as this overloads the circuit, remove or relocate one of the toaster ovens to another circuit. Code 705, by next drydock. 46 CFR 183.220(b)

Engine room, midship, outboard of port M/E, re-weld broken deck vertical support to bottom support. 705, by next drydock. (OLD "T")46 CFR 176.25-1(a)

Repair forward starboard hydraulic ram steering assist mount to starboard rudder tiller. Bolt hole has worn considerably and there is a 1/2"+ gap causing the bolt connections to slam back and forth when actuated by helm controls. Vessel has two additional hydraulic assist rams to assist, so issue can be addressed at next drydock. Code 705, by next drydock. (OLD "T")46 CFR 182.30-1

Repair 3 pits on sewage tank with approved epoxy.

Replace ball valve on sewage tank.

Make weld continuous around port side strut where it meets the hull.

Vessel has passed the date for required drydocking as per the certificate of inspection. Make vessel available for drydock inspection prior to the carriage of passengers.

Provide updated charts for areas where operations are conducted. 46 CFR 184.420(a)(1)

Remove string from stbd fuel shutoff. 46 CFR 182.20-40(b)(3)

Replace navigation batteries. 46 CFR 183.200

No bilge suction in the first space aft of the forepeak. Prove proper operation of bilge suction from space prior to carrying passengers

For both port and stbd life floats, have paddles properly lashed to their respective life floats.

For the port lifefloat, replace deteriorated retro reflective tape.

For stbd lifefloat, ensure proper connection to painter. Lifefloat is currently tied to the port lifefloat. Current configuration is not adequate. Attach individually to painter.

Ensure sewage discharge valve is locked to prevent tampering.

Provide VGP plan for vessel including inspection procedures referenced in annual inspection sheet.

Install pressure gauge at discharge of fire pump

Re-weld cracked welds as marked in fore peak and first space behind the fore peak.

Identified loose wire in run penetrating watertight bulkheads between 1st space aft of fore peak, 2nd space aft of forepeak, and engine room. Bundle wire and make pulkhead penetrations watertight.

Cover missing for junction box in 2nd space aft of forepeak, near fresh water pump.

Provide adequate potection for fuel tank sight gauge.

Provide EPIRB registration.

Permanently wire in freezers in compartment #2.

DC02:Provide DAPI Crew List and prove program compliance.

DC03:Clean/re-paint (IAW Jim-Bouy instructions) port life float.

DC04:Remove wire nuts on PA system wiring and replace with acceptable connector.
