A vessel of at least 26 feet (7.9 meters) in length must be provided with individual bilge lines and bilge suctions for each watertight compartment, except that the space forward of the collision bulkhead need not be fitted with a bilge suction line when the arrangement is such that ordinary leaked may be removed through the use of a hand portable pump. Bilge was not able to draw suction due to a cracked manifold valve for water room. Replace, and re-test operation of bilge pump. 46 CFR 182.210(a)
