During the routine deployment of the vessel's Marine Evacuation System (MES), one if the associated life rafts failed to inflate. Additionally, during the MES drill, two members became entrapped in the MES chute, impeding the vessel's ability to properly evacuate personnel from the ship. PSCOs found the three hinges on the door leading into the emergency generator were rusted, one completely broken off and a second almost gone. The ship replaced all three hinges on the spot.
