purpose intended. All machinery and equipment must be
installed and maintained in such a manner as to afford
adequate protection from machinery failure. While
conducting an inspection of the vessel’s shaft bearing,
it was noted that the bearing was cracked and showing
signs of delamination from the metal housing. Any
cracking and/or delamination found on the rubber part of
the bearing must be replaced prior to the vessel
returning to service. Replace unsatisfactory bearing to
satisfaction of attending Marine Inspector.

BUCKET” were not visible on one bucket. Re-stencil "FIRE

prior to getting underway for the first time on a particular vessel and at least once every three months,

port to collision bulkhead for dewatering. Moving
forward drill with all crew on proper dewatering of
collision bulkhead and maintain access so as to not
seize.
