The vinyl dip coating of 44 lifejackets were cracked and foam beginning to separate, exposing buoyant material to the environment. Crew stated they did not know how to test fixed "fireboy" fire extinguishing system in engine space and were unable to test during the inspection. The annual servicing report also stated the indicator alarm "failed".
