A vessel on Limited Coastwise route must carry: Six hand red flare distress signals and six hand orange smoke distress signals. Vessel only has 9 red distress signals. Vessel route limited to lakes, bays, and sounds.

Each disposable hydrostatic release unit must be marked with the expiration date of two years after the date on which the unit is installed. Hydrostatic release is expired.

The provisions of part III require US vessels which transport more than six passengers for hire to carry a radiotelephone installation complying with this subpart. FCC radiotelephony certificate is expire. Vessel is restricted to not more than 1000 feet from shore. 47 CFR 80.901

Each vessel certificated to operate on a limited coastwise route within three miles of land in warm waters must: have on board a FCC Type Category I EPIRB. EPIRB battery expired. Vessel route restricted to within one mile of land.

The number and identification of size for life jackets must be marked on each container. Vessel only allowed to carry a total of 44 persons, of those only 42 passenger. Mark containers with a total of 44.

A vessel of more than 26' but no more than 65' must carry one buoy. Each waterlight must have a lanyard of at least 3' but not more than 6' in length securing light around the body of buoy and must be attached to lanyard with a corrosion resistant clip.

The marine employer must have a sufficient number of alcohol testing devices readily accessible. Alcohol swabs expired. 46 CFR 4.06-15.

On vessels of an excursion trip the following must be installed: bars, slats, or rail courses at intervals of not more than 4". Courses on port side ladder are greater than 4".

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit approved under approval series 46 CFR 160.041 or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. On board kit missing content.

EPIRB's hydrostatic release unit has expired. Unit to be replaced with current unit. Route restricted to a protected route preventing vessel from operating pass the demarcation line. 46 CFR 185.740

The master and crew of a vessel will be familiar with the content of and have mounted at the operating station, emergency instructions containing the actions to be taken in the event of fire, heavy weather, or man overboard conditions. Except when in the judgment of the cognizant OCMI the operation of a vessel does not present one of the hazards listed, the emergency instruction placard should contain at least the applicable portions of the “Emergency Instructions” listed in §185.512. The emergency instructions must be designed to address the particular equipment, arrangement, and operation of each individual vessel. (c) If the cognizant OCMI determines that there is no suitable mounting surface aboard the vessel, the emergency instructions need not be posted but must be carried aboard the vessel and be available to the crew for familiarization.
