Design verification testing (a) Tests must verify that automated vital systems are designed, constructed, and operate in accordance with all applicable requirements of part 62 of this sub chapter. Every crew member shall participate in at least one abandon ship drill and one fire drill every month. The drills of the crew shall take place within 24 hours of the ship leaving port if more than 25% of the crew have not participated in abandon ship and fire drills onboard the particular ship in the previous month. Vessel fail to perform fire drills in accordance with regulation. Master shall create a non conformity and corrective action plan.

Indication of the rudder angle must be provided both at the main steering station in the pilothouse and in the steering-gear compartment. The rudder-angle indicator must be independent of control systems for steering gear. The port rudder angle indicator located at the main steering station on the bridge was not functioning. Repair or replace the port rudder angle indicator and prove operation in the presence of a Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

Annual maintenance on galley rolling A0 fire doors has not been conducted since delivery of vessel. Create maintenance task in your preventive maintenance system to prevent future occurrences.
