Release hook on starboard side lifeboat was unable to be reset. The aft release hook cannot properly engage. Repairs to be made to the satisfaction of the Flag Administration as per 74 SOLAS III/20.2.

Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure
Resolved 5 November 2007
Resolution: Vessel had lifeboat technician onboard Saturday the 3rd. Replaced damaged aft lifeboat hook cable and it was tested satisfactory. The Flag state inspector was on board to verify proper operation of the hook. Lifeboat was launched and recovered.
