The machinery shall be of a design and construction adequate for the service it is intended. The vessel lost propulsion as a result of a low lube oil alarm/wiring fault alarm on the vessel's engine room monitoring system. The alarm system has been bypassed to prevent further shutdown of the system while vessel is in transit. The vessel shall have a manned engine room watch while transiting in U.S. waters.
