Each vessel that operates on the high seas, or that operates beyond three miles from the coastline of the Great Lakes, must have on board a FCC Type Accepted Category 1, 406 MHz EPIRB, installed to automatically float free and activate. EPIRB was on-board but did not have the proper registration sticker attached. A new registration and decal shall be obtained and affixed to the vessel's EPIRB.46CFR180.64

No Hydro release was affixed to the float free arrangement of the vessel's IBA. Provided a hydrostatic release. Prior to getting underway remind crew that the IBA must be manually released until the hydro-release is installed.6CFR180.130(b)
