Each fire hose on a vessel of not more than 19.8 meters (65 feet) in length carrying not more than 49 passengers must: Be lined commercial fire hose that conforms to UL 19...(2) Be 15.25 meters (50 feet) in length and 40 millimeters (1.5 inches) in diameter... or be garden type hose of not less than 16 millimeters (0.625 inches) nominal inside diameter. The fire hose ruptured during test of the fire pump and vessel did not have an appropriate replacement fire hose. 46 CFR 181.320(a)

A vessel must comply with the applicable requirements for any radio and Electronic Position Indicating Radiobeacon (EPIRB) installations, including the requirements for a station license and installation certificates to be issued by the Federal Communications Commission. On 09 Jan 2023, vessel had FCC technician certify FCC equipment on board. The FCC technician also put the same date in the expiration section of the certificate. FCC technician most re-issue certificate with correct dates in correct spots. 46 CFR 184.502

Resolution: Verified the vessel's pre-engineered fire-fighting system (fire-boy) was repaired and operated as designed. Witnessed sat shutdown (simulation), the inability to restart any of the 3 engines after shutdown, and the ability to start all 3 on override.
