Resolution: ABS attended the vessel and amended the Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate to reflect the proper VDR onboard.

One of the two main ship radars is down for repairs. Vessel installed a temporary radar in Montreal during inbound voyage to fulfill requirement for two independently operating radars. Vessel plans to have radar repaired in Montreal 30APR05 during outbound voyage. Required the vessel to provide servicing report that the permanent radar has been repaired & installed prior to return to U.S. waters.

Resolution: Vessel faxed MSU Toledo a copy of main ship radar service report stating that the radar operates correctly.
