The owner shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspection of the following: On a sailing vessel all spars, standing rigging, running rigging, blocks, fittings, and sails. Vessel has not followed the terms of its preventative maintenance plan to adequately assess the safe condition of their sail rigging system in accordance with USCG NVIC 02-16. Last survey completed April 2024. Operator shall schedule a 3rd party rigging survey to include rigging inspection aloft, and provide the survey report prior to next scheduled drydock September 2025. 46 CFR 176.802 (a)(3)

Vessel does not a have smoke activated fire detection system for required spaces. Provide smoke activated fire detection system and install to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector. Vessel operator intends to submit special consideration for interconnected fire detection and alarm system.

A vessel must comply with the applicable requirements for EPIRB installations issued by the FCC. During testing of EPIRD red light flashed prior to test sequence and then remained red at end of test. After contacting manufacturer they send to send in and get new EPIRB. In the meantime vessel is restricted to trips within 3 miles from land.
