A space containing an internal combustion engine of more than 50 hp must be equipped with a fixed gas fire extinguishing system, in compliance with 181.410 or other fixed fire extinguishing system specifically approved by the Commandant. Vessel is equipped with separate pre engineered extinguishing systems for each engine space and generator space. When one device is discharged it activates the other two devices. This set up is not in the spririt of the regulation by having each space controlled by a separate unit allowing the operator control of the vessel in the event of a singular fire. Pre-engineered systems must be wired separately. 46CFR181.400
