Vessels over 26'...shall be provided with individual bilge suctions for each watertight compartment. Bilge suction for mid void (#2) inoperable. 46 CFR 182.25-5 Old T.

A visual and audible alarm must be provided at the operating station. Void #2 visual indicator at operating station inoperable.

The owner shall be prepared to conduct tests and have the vessel ready for inspection. Conduct drills underway to the satisfaction of the MI. 46 CFR 176.808(a)

The owner or managing operator must provide satisfactory evidence of the required fire protection servicing to the marine inspector. The vessel could not provide appropriate fire servicing report. 46 CFR 176.810(b)(1)(iv)

Abandon ship, man overboard drill, and fire fighting drills and trainings shall be logged. Vessel could not provide any history of drills onboard. 46 CFR 185.520(f)

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to minimize accidental personnel contact with energized parts. MI found power outlet unscrewed from bulkhead and multiple distribution panel blanks missing. 46 CFR 183.200(c)

An adult life jacket must be provided for each person carried onboard. 47 adult pfds found onboard. Vessel limited to 45 passengers and 02 crew until 05 adult pfds are provided as per COI. 46CFR180.71

A vessel not required to have a power driven fire pump, must have three 2.5 gallon fire buckets. Fire buckets onboard found to be 5 gallons. 46CFR181.610

A vessel of 26 feet in length must be provided with bilge suctions for each watertight space. Port and Stbd engine rooms not fitted with proper bilge suctions or high water alarms. Submit repair proposal to satisfaction of the MI. 46CFR182.520

A space containing an internal combustion engine of more than 50 hp must be equipped with a fixed gas fire extinguishing system, in compliance with 181.410 or other fixed fire extinguishing system specifically approved by the Commandant. Vessel is equipped with separate pre engineered extinguishing systems for each engine space and generator space. When one device is discharged it activates the other two devices. This set up is not in the spririt of the regulation by having each space controlled by a separate unit allowing the operator control of the vessel in the event of a singular fire. Pre-engineered systems must be wired separately. 46CFR181.400

Closure of openings shall be made by means of plugs, covers, etc., to prevent the admission of air into the space protected. Closure openings for engine compartments supply and exhaust ducts not operating or sealing openings. Repair within 7 days. 46 CFR 181.20-35

Each small battery installation must be located protected from falling objects. Aft generator battery missing cover.

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit approved under approval series 160.041 or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. First aid kit required items as listed in Table 160.041 missing. Provide missing items.

As appropriate for the intended voyage, a vessel must carry adequate and up-to-date nautical publications. Coast Pilot and Light List publication/extracts missing. Provide current extracts. 46 CFR 185.20-35

The person in command of a documented vessel must have on board that vessel the original Certificate of Documentation currently in effect for that vessel. Current/original COD not on board.

110V outlet on upperdeck was installed without plan review.Outlets are exposed to the weather and are not water tight. Wire is ran accross the deck.

Wires were found hanging from overhead and resting on steering connecting rod. Required owner to re-secure wiring in overhead.

Vessel has plastic waste receptacles that don't meet the requirements for Fire Protection IAW 46 CFR 177.405.

Port Engine Fire Dampers to natural ventilation opening not operational

Port MDE compartment has a significant exhaust leak, suspected of originating from, MDE exhaust coupling. Vessel will make repairs during dry-dock period.

Drills are not being appropriately conducted and logged IAW 46 CFR 185.520/.524

Replace expired medications in first aid kit.

Conduct and log training for man overboard and fire drills.

Provide an additional 14 adult Type I PFDs, vessel restricted to no more than 39 total persons until provided. Rejected 14 adult Type II PFDs.

Correct anchor light wiring separate from running lights.

Replace all visual distress signals (flares) - all expired.

Securely re-fasten rail at port stern main deck.

Properly mark fuel shut off location outside cabinet w/ 1" letters and include direction inside.

Provide life jacket donning placard.

Remove unused wire/cable on port engine.

Properly secure wire in starboard engine space with metal support no more than 24" apart.

Repair/replace inoperable stbd. eng. lube oil gauge at main deck operating station.

Provide PFD's suitable for crew to effect safety duties and locate in easily accessible space.

Post COI and stability letter inplace visible to crew and passengers.

Ensure / repair fireboy pre-engineered fire fighting system works properly by allowing engine to be re-started in over ride position.

Prove proper operation of bilge alarm.

Prove proper operation of engine low lube oil pressure gauge.

Prove proper operation of engine high water temperature gauge.

Prove proper operation of engine RPM gauge.

Conduct satisfactory man overboard recovery drill.

Conduct satisfactory fire drill.

Replace deteriorated grab lines (beckets) on ring buoy.

Replace worn lifejacket donning placard on upper deck.

Repair gouges in fiberglass where indicated.

Draw stbd shaft and cutlass bearing. Replace cutlass bearing and straighten or replace bearing strut. Straighten or replace rudder shaft and weld cracked rudder or replace. Trueness of shaft must be certified by a repair facility.

Submit CG-2692 to MSO San Diego Investigations Department detailing damages sustained by starboard shaft and rudder
