Flexible hose installed in lengths not to exceed 30 inches may meet the following requirements: hose clamps may be installed with two clamps, at both ends of the hose, which do not rely on spring tension and are installed beyond the bead or flare or serrations of the spud, pipe or hose fitting. Noted fuel hoses in excess of 30 inches without fixed approved fittings, and fuel hoses less than 30 inches installed without double hose clamps.
