At time of attendance there was no available evidence that the installed Rosepoint system is the commercial version that meets the chart equivalency requirement. Provide evidence of a manufacturer’s declaration of conformity for the installed Rosepoint system, or plan to bring the electronic charting system onboard into compliance.

To stop the flow of fuel in the event of a fire or break in the fuel line, a remote fuel shutoff valve must be fitted on any fuel line that supplies fuel directly to a propulsion engine or generator prime mover. The valve must be operable from a safe place outside the space where the valve is installed. The remote fuel shutoff valve for the starboard main engine was not operable from the remote location outside of the space.

The fixed fire pump must have all suction valves necessary for the operation of the fire main kept in the open position. The skin valve to the fire main was in the closed position and during the operation test of the fire pump significant amount of water was leaking from the packing glands. Repair to satisfactory operation and keep lined up ready for use.
