Issued 835V stating no repairs or alterations affecting the safety of the vessel or its machinery shall be made unless applicable requirements in this chapter are met. The procedures to be followed in notifying the Coast Guard about vessel repairs vary according to the type of vessel and service in which engaged. Vessel owner/operator notified CG that the vessel suffered damage due to Hurricane Sally in accordance with applicable regulatory cite. Vessel must make permanent repair/alteration to the satisfaction of the OCMI in accordance with 46 CFR 176.700(a).
