During cargo loading operations, a bow void inspection discovered an 8" hull fracture in the bottom plate, port side. A wood shingle was driven in with oakum and secured with epoxy to stop the leak, completing satisfactory temporary repairs. The vessel is permitted to proceed to Calvert City, KY, to offload cargo and then to Paducah, KY for evaluation and permanent repair.

The starboard stern corner plating was set in 0-6" commencing at a point 2'6" below deck level extending down 7'0" to the empty waterline with the adjacent transom and sternlog plating distorted to conform for 5'0" inboard. The corner plating was fractured transversely for 24" and opened up 0-1/2" at a point 2'6" below deck level. The internal framing was bent and bowed to conform.
