Vessel is required to be dry-dock so that attending Coast Guard Marine Inspectors can inspect the repairs that were performed as a result of the damages that were caused when the vessel hit a log. This incident occurred in mid-October 2018; and the repair process lasted until late December 2018. Throughout this time, the Vessel Owner failed to notify this office of the repairs. This office was not notified of the repairs until January 24, 2019. The Vessel Owner stated that repairs were made to the existing Port & Starboard propellers and a new shaft log and coupler that were installed for the Starboard shaft. Vessel Owner is required to provide documentation attesting to the repairs to the both props and the newly installed Starboard shaft log and coupler.
