1720 discharge of oil: Discharge into the sea of oil from ships of 400 GT or above shall be prohibited. Visible traces of oil were observed on the surface of the water in the vicinity of the ship's stern. It was noted in the engineering log book that oil was being added to the vessels stern tube and stern thruster head tanks at abnormal rate. MARPOL 73/78 Annex I Reg 15.2 17ac

Resolution: MSU Port Arthur received a work order from [name withheld] stating a new NAVTEX receiver and antenna were installed. The NAVTEX is fully operational.
