Individual power pumps used for separate spaces are to b e controlled from a central control point and must have a light or other visual means at the control point to indicate operation. Bow electrical bilge pump was not functioning. Troubleshoot and repair bow electrical bilg pump and provide test results to attending marine inspector.

To qualify for a medical certificate, a mariner must provide evidence of meeting the medical and physical standards in this section on a CG–719–K or CG–719–K/E, as appropriate. The Coast Guard retains final authority for determining whether a mariner is medically and physically qualified. Columns 2 through 5 of Table 1 to paragraph (a) of this section provide the specific exam, test, or demonstrations required to obtain the corresponding credential listed in column 1. Further clarifications of the requirements contained in the table are found throughout this subpart. Vessel Master medical certificate expired in 2020. Provide a valid med -ical certificate to attending marine inspector.

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit that meets the requirements in 46 CFR 199.175(b)(10) or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. Vessel's burn preperations and analgesic medications were expired. Vessel replaced on site. Deficiency code issued 10c.

Vessels constructed of wood must, in addition to paragraph (a), provide bilge level alarms in all watertight compartments except small buoyancy chambers. The bilge level alarm in the lazarette was not functioning. Repair and demonstrate functioning bilge level alarm.

As appropriate for the intended voyage, a vessel must carry adequate and up-to-date: (1) Charts of large enough scale to make safe navigation possible; (2) U.S. Coast Pilot or similar publication; (3) Coast Guard Light List; (4) Tide tables; and (5) Current tables. Vessel did not have current Coast Pilot or Light List on board. Provide current publications.

The number and identification of the items stowed inside, and their sizes, must be marked in clearly legible letters and numbers on each container for life jackets and immersion suits. Identification of the items may be in words, or the appropriate symbols in IMO Resolution A.760(18) . Letters and numbers must be at least 2 inches high. Symbols must be at least 4 inches square. Markings were missing from life jacket storage locations. Provide proper markings.

Repairs or alterations to the hull, machinery, or equipment that affect the safety of the vessel must not be made without the approval of the cognizant OCMI, except during an emergency. When repairs are made during an emergency, the owner, managing operator, or master shall notify the OCMI as soon as practicable after such repairs or alternations are made. The block connecting the vertical and horizontal frames on the sixth frame from the forward end of the lazarette compartment was found split in way of both inboard fastenening through bolts. Provide repair proposal to attending USCG marine inspector.

The Rules concerning shapes shall be complied with by day. Vessel was not provided with day shapes. Provide day shapes appropriate to vessel operation.

A grease extraction hood required by 46 CFR 181.400 must meet UL 710 (incorporated by reference, see 46 CFR 175.600) or other standard specified by the Commandant. (b) A grease extraction hood must be equipped with a dry or wet chemical fire extinguishing system meeting the applicable sections of NFPA 17 or NFPA 17A (both incorporated by reference, see 46 CFR 175.600), or other standard specified by the Commandant, and must be listed by an independent laboratory recognized by the Commandant. Provide plans for and install grease extration hood meeting UL 710 and associated NFPA 17 or 17A compliant fixed fire system prior to 04MAR2023. While operating prior to completion of installation, comply with G-MSE-4 Policy Letter PFM 1-99.

Bilge high level alarm audible signal not operable. Demonstrate proper operation.

Distribution panel in engine room missing blank. Provide blank.

Scrape & treat decayed planking forward of fuel tank, stbd side of E/R.

Replace securing arms on forepeak hatch.

Prior to operating with passengers, prove proper operation of port fuel emergency shut-off.

Install ladder to provide safe access to pilot house roof

Replace wire rope clip on stbd fuel shut-off pull cable

Provide pre-employment test result for deckhand.

Raise anchor light above IBA & radome.

Provide f/f servicing report for CO2 system (bottle weight, switch test).

Complete an inspection for COI renewal. Vessel may not operate with passengers until satisfactory completion of a COI renewal inspection.

Provide current chem testing program crew list.
