Solenoid for Fire Boy fixed firefighting system was disconnected and inoperable. The Fire boy switch from the pilot house would not be able to shut the main diesel engine down in the event of a fire onboard. Manual pull handle in Wheelhouse was not labeled as such preventing someone other than the captain of the vessel from knowing its location.
