The following areas on the external hull were marked for removal and repair: -- bow-stem 46 inches below splash rail, an area 3 inches deep by 8 inches long covering the entire with of the stem was found either rotted or filled with wood putty. -- SB side of Keel, 50 inches forward of the most fwd end of a copper plate that is also located upon the keel. An area of wood rot was discovered.
