Vessels described by 46 CFR 175.110(c) must have an interconnected fire detection system in compliance with § 181.450 installed in all enclosed areas where passengers and crew have routine access, including accommodation spaces and machinery spaces. Both port and starboard fwd heads are missing interconnected smoke detection. Wheel house smoke detector is not interconnected with others.

All vessels must have navigation lights that are in compliance with the applicable sections of the International and Inland Navigation Rules. Stern light is inoperable.

Every vessel subject to Part III of Title III of the Communications Act must have a detailed inspection of the radio installation by an FCC-licensed technician in accordance with § 80.59 once every five years.

The equipment required for lifefloats and buoyant apparatus must meet the following specifications: The light must be a floating waterlight approved under approval series 161.010 or other standard specified by the Commandant. One of 3 float lights for lifefloats do not work.

Each vessel that operates on the high seas, or that operates beyond three miles from the coastline of the Great Lakes, must have on board a FCC Type Accepted Category 1, 406 MHz EPIRB, installed to automatically float free and activate. Hydrostatic release for EPIRB expired May 2024.

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit approved under approval series 160.041 or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. Contents of the first aid kit are expired.

One ship station license will be granted for operation of all maritime services transmitting equipment on board a vessel. Radiotelegraph and narrow-band directing-printing equipment will not be authorized, however, unless specifically requested by the applicant. FCC Station License expired 20FEB2022. 46CFR80.13

(a)A grease extraction hood required by 46 CFR 181.400 must meet UL 710 (incorporated by reference, see 46 CFR 175.600) or other standard specified by the Commandant. (b)A grease extraction hood must be equipped with a dry or wet chemical fire extinguishing system meeting the applicable sections of NFPA 17 or NFPA 17A (both incorporated by reference, see 46 CFR 175.600), or other standard specified by the Commandant, and must be listed by an independent laboratory recognized by the Commandant. Vessel has installed griddle with no extraction hood. Vessel is to lockout/tagout the griddle and submit plans for installation of above grease extraction hood with fire extinguishing system. 46 CFR 181.425

Each life float must be fitted with a lifeline, pendants, two paddles, a painter, and a light. The paddles for one of the life floats were found to be deteriorated and no paddles were lashed to their life floats. Additionally, one float free weak link was missing its tag.

A vessel at anchor shall exhibit (during daytime hours) where it can best be seen one ball day shape. The vessel could not produce a day shape.

Shutoff valves, installed so as to close against the fuel flow, must be fitted. The port side fuel shutoff valve was found to be inoperable.

NEW INSTALLATIONS OF MATTRESSES MUST MEET US DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE FF 4-72.16 OR IMO A.688(17). PROVE MATERIALS USED IN NEW MATTRESSES MEET STANDARDS OR REPLACE WITH MATTRESSES THAT DO.

All electrical shall be of a type designed for the potential involved and so identified. Identify and label four breakers missing labels in galley electrical panel.

Life jackets required CG approved lights for Oceans route. Found 10 life jackets missing attached light.

Complete satisfactory renewal inspection for COI. Prior to carrying passengers.

Provide ventilation installation for the lazarette.

Provide repair proposal for transom planking wood rot, upper two planks on stbd quarter intersection.

Recaulk all areas identified.

Make stbd side of lazarette/fuel tank space bulkhead watertight.

Re-fasten stbd chine, into each frame.

Insert vertical stiffener in stbd quarter, lazarette space.

Renew deck beams - in fuel tank space, identified aft 4 deck beams in wasted condition, and deck beam #6 in same space, numbering starting aft in space.

Make bulkhead watertight between fuel tank space and engine room port side bottom.

Conduct satisfactory underway sea trial.

Vessel must conduct permanent hull/chine repairs to regain watertight integrity, vessel suffering leaks through chine in engine room stbd side, lazarette both port & stbd sides. Vessel not authorized to carry passengers.

Provide a weaklink and 100 foot painter line for the forward lifefloat, and two proper weaklinks for the two aft lifefloats, limited to lakes, bays, & sounds route, no more than one mile from shore within this route until provided.

Limited to no more than three miles from mainland shore until EPIRB hydrostatis release unit is valid.

Vessel restricted to voyages less than 12 hours, until cameron green and john jordan are verified to be subject to random drug testing, may not serve as crewmembers with safety sensitive duties.

Provide functional stern light, restricted to daytime operations only in good visibility.

Provide up-to-date nautical navigation charts.

Install independent modular smoke detector unit in the forward bunk space, meeting U.L. 217., bunk space may not be used until provided.

Replace retroreflective tape on (9) lifejackets as ID'd.

Label lifering with vessel name.

Replace (1) life float.

Provide Machinery Guard on (3) items as ID'd.

Complete annual servicing of firefighting equipment and provide servicing report.

Remove rot from Frame #3 forward of the transom at the deck beam IWO the deck clamp.

Replace rotted deck beam in fuel tank room forward of aft bulkhead

Repair 3 cracked deck supports located portside void accomdation space.
