On 10JUN2023 Vessel reported a loss of steering / maneuverability. Vessel must be provided with a main steering gear that is of adequate strength and capable of steering the vessel at all service speeds and be capable of moving the rudder from 35 degrees on one side to 30 degrees on the other side in not more than 28 seconds with the vessel moving ahead at maximum service speed. Vessel must troubleshoot and identify the cause of the loss of steering, submit a report attesting to the cause as well as satisfactory operation of the propulsion and steering system and make the vessel available for inspection to the local OCMI.
