MI found starboard side steering gear frame was cracked in several locations causing the bulkhead to buckle. Repair and notify local OCMI once complete.

All seals and gaskets must be properly maintained to prevent leaks of flammable or combustible liquid, as those terms are defined in 46 CFR subpart 30.10, into the machinery space. MI found both steering systems were leaking hydraulic oil. Fix leaks and notify local OCMI once repairs are complete.
