All machinery and equipment must be installed and maintained in such a manner as to afford adequate protection from causing fire, explosion, machinery failure, and personnel injury; vessel reported a failure of high water temp and high oil pressure alarms were discovered during operational checks on the Emergency Generator. Vessel is allowed to continue operations, should an emergent situation occur that demands use of the Emergency Generator, an on-scene watchs tander shall standby machinery to perform period temperature and pressure readings during operation until deficiency is corrected.

The time delay on the engine room fixed CO2 system failed, the bottle is marked as a 30 second delay, during the test the delay was not activated until 40.9 seconds.
