At each inspection all unsafe conditions must be repaired. There is a cracked weld on the PORT box above the waterline. Make repairs to the same prior to carrying passengers.

Electrical equipment on a vessel must be installed and maintained to protect passengers and crew. 1. Power cord in way of the food warmer is frayed and exposing conductors. 2. Provide stuffing tube for the lights above the PORT and STBD bow doors. 3. Decorative lighting on upper fwd pilothouse is broken w/ exposed wires.

At each inspection all unsafe conditions must be corrected. Make repairs to leak in way of the potable water tank.

Flexible non-metallic piping in fuels systems must meet the requirements of 46 CFR 182.720(e). the fuel fill hose does not meet the same. Provide hose( USCG type A1, A2, B1, B2).

At each inspection all unsafe conditions must be corrected. Make repairs to the pinhole in the sewage tank void bulkhead PORT FWD.

An exposed hazard must be protected by a cover. Provide a guard for the STBD engine flywheel.

Replace worn grease hoses in way of flanking rudder bearings.

Replace gasket material in way of port and starboard weathertight doors in engine compartment.

Make all penetrations in engine compartment bulkheads and overhead weathertight.

Make windows in aft engine room bulkhead weathertight.

Make repairs to handrail port side, aft.

Make repairs to handrail, aft bulkhead, port side, in way of paddle wheel.

Gauge underwater portion of vessel's bow as indicated by Marine Inspector.

Electrical equipment must be installed and maintained to protect passengers, crew, and other persons from shock/fire: 1. There are daisy chained extension cords/surge traps in the #3 void and behind the bar. Remove the same. 2. There is a dead end wire on the mast in way of the forward brow. Remove the same.

All electrical circuits shall be marked. There is an unmarked circuit in the main distribuition panel in the engine compartment. Mark the same.

All fire hazards shall be minimized. The red gear oil hoses on the port and starboard main engines are worn. Replace the same.

Remote fuel shutoff stations must be marked in clearly legible letter at least 1 inch high indicating purpose of the valve and direction of operation. Mark the remote fuel shutoff valve on the main deck.

Provide electrical heaters meeting the requirements of 46 CFR 184.210.

Cylinder for compressed gas must always be secured when not in use. They must be stowed in an upright position.

Make repairs to and prove proper operation of the #3 bilge suction.

Provide a lanyard of 3 to 6 feet long for the ring buoy floating water light.

Make repairs to the bilge piping for the Tank Space.

#1 cylinder on the generator is bubbling fuel from the injector cup area, Repair as needed

MI witnessed fuel leak on the PORT main Diesel engine injection pump at rate of 1 drop every 5-6 seconds. After re-inspection the leak appeared to seal itself. Determine cause of leak and repair as needed

Install non-combustible waste receptacles throughout

Provide a medical certificate for licensed Master.

On approved engine start batteries DWG 93-454-5300, negative cables from batteries to all starters need to be installed with AWG as per drawing.

On approved engine start batteries DWG 93-454-5300, install 300A inline fuses as per approved drawing.

On approved 12 VDC panel DWG 93-454-5300, inside of ER 12VDC panel, PH panel supply circuit breaker needs to be 30A per approved drawing.

Starboard engine battery box is full of water. Remove water and provide battery box cover.

Provide battery box covers for all battery boxes throughout vessel.

Make repairs to the port main fuel leak.

Provide guards around rotating machinery on port main engine.

Properly mount electric cable for starboard engine compartment exhaust fan.

Make bulkhead penetrations between the #2 and #3 voids and #4 and #5 voids watertight.

Prior to carrying passengers complete a new to zone inspection and drills.

Vessel must be operated in such a manner as to afford adequate precaution against hazards that might endanger the vessel and persons being transported. Hull breach in #2 void below the waterline, evidence of down flooding into #3 void, and submersion of fuel system's 3 electric fuel pumps substantially affects vessel's stability and mechanical operation. Permanent repair of hull plating, vessel structures, and essential systems (fuel) shall be made prior to vessel's return to operation. Permanent repairs shall not be made without prior approval of the cognizant Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection (OCMI) as required by 46 CFR 176.700. Vessel authorized dead ship tow from St. Genevieve, MO to J.B. Marine ship yard, St. Louis, MO. Temporary repairs must be maintained and vessel condition must be continually monitored. Changes to the vessel's condition affecting vessel stability shall be immediately reported to the cognizant [name withheld] permanent repairs are completed the vessel is prohibited from further transit without OCMI approval.

Port main engine would not start due starting batteries were not maintained and not charged. It is intended that all machinery be installed and maintained in such a manner as to afford adequate protection from machinery failure. Renew batteries for port main engine to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard marine inspector.46 CFR 182.01-5

Engine room door does not close all the way and does not provide an adequate fire boundary between the engine room and the passenger space. The general construction of the vessel shall be such to minimize fire hazards insofar as reasonable and practicable. Repair engine room door to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard marine inspector.

Port main engine drive shaft bearing is leaking excessive amount of oil. It is intended that all machinery be installed and maintained in such a manner as to afford adequate protection from machinery failure. Repair/replace port main engine drive shaft bearing to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard marine inspector. 46 CFR 182.01-5

Numerous paddles on the pedal wheel are rotten and need to be replaced. It is intended that all machinery be installed and maintained in such a manner as to afford adequate protection from machinery failure. Repair/replace paddles to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard Marine inspector.

Vessels fire main had a leak on gate valve near fire pump. Piping, valves and fittings in a fire main system must comply with subpart G part 182 of this chapter. Repair or replace gate valve to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

Vessel's number 2 void had diesel fuel that had pooled in space under fuel tank indicating a leak from fuel piping or fuel tank. The materials and construction of fuel lines, including piping must comply with the requirements of 46 CFR 182.455. Identify source of leak and repair to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

Marine inspector identified the main generator was a fire hazard due to dirt, lent, grease and oil. At all Inspection special attention shall be made to insure that no fire hazard exist. Clean all dirt, grease and oil on generator to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.

Engine room exhaust fans are coated with dust. At all inspections special attention shall be made to insure that no fire hazard exist. Clean engine room exhaust fans to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.

Vessel did not have potable lights on the bridge and the Engine room. Each vessel must be equipped with at least two portable lights. Place two portable lights onboard for the bridge and engine room.

engine room batteries cover were missing. Batteries shall be checked for stowage. Install battery covers.

Found section of hull plating wasted beyond 25% in the sewage void area. 10'x 15' section called out for crop and renew, cut back to good metal. There are several other holes and washed out welds that were called out for repair. See attached 835 for details.
